Gerry Michael Hone, who took his username from his hometown of Compton, California, was a staff sergeant in the US Air Force special operations squadron, the Air Scouts, during Operation Special Retribution, the NATO response to Black Christmas. He was critically injured in a friendly fire incident which resulted in all four of his limbs as well as his spine being replaced by cybernetic prostheses. As a result, he is incredibly strong and possesses remarkable endurance, but is committed to a daily regimen of psychotropic medications which prevent the onset of cyberpsychosis. He is known for his slightly manic mannerisms, but is an extremely competent street fighter, and has cultivated a wide array of contacts within the biker and gang communities in the United States. Loyalty is everthing to Compton, and if protecting the Crystals means protecting his friends, he’ll die to keep the Crystals out of the wrong hands.
